Bear Essentials has been the benefactor of financial support from many sources through its last decade of support for area children. Most recently, the St. Louis Rams Foundation and the Torry Holt Foundation have shared their generosity with Bear Essentials. Gifts of financial support and personal appearances have helped our program thrive. Torry Holt, who lost his mother, Ojetta Holt-Shoffner, to cancer at a younger age, has shared his stories and strength with the families of Bear Essentials. He has been a role model for our children in ways that show there is life after a familyís challenge with cancer. Given the success this program has achieved in St. Louis, it is Torryís hope to help communities around the United States start Bear Essential programs
